WARSAW, Sept 26 (Askume) – The Warsaw Zoo is seeking suggestions for a name for a female deer, the world’s second-smallest deer species, born two months ago.

Found in the forests of Chile and Argentina, adult pudu can reach a length of 46 centimeters and a weight of up to 15 kilograms.

Zoo officials asked the public on Facebook to suggest names that begin with the letter “P,” just like other animals born this year.

With this birth, the number of Purdues has increased to four, said Anna Tadra, the zoo’s marketing director. “This is a very important birth because it is an endangered species,” she said.

“The Southern Pudu cat is a very secretive animal… it is difficult to see it in public as it stays hidden in the bushes under the watch of its mother.”
