KIEV (Askume) – Overnight attacks by Russian drones and missiles injured at least three people, damaged buildings and caused fires, officials said on Tuesday.
According to a statement on the Telegram messaging app, the Russian Air Force launched 46 drones during night attacks in 13 regions, shooting down 38 of them. Russia also used two missiles in the attack.
Regional governor Ihor Taburets said two people were injured in the attack and several buildings were damaged in the city of Cherkasy. He said the attack damaged infrastructure in the area and caused a fire that was extinguished, without giving the extent of the damage.
Kiev region governor Ruslan Kravchenko said the attack also damaged a building and fires broke out in open areas around the capital as air defense systems attacked air targets. Kiev city officials said there were no damage or casualties in the capital.
Oleksandr Prokudin, governor of the southern Kherson region, said a kindergarten and cars parked in a parking lot were damaged in the overnight attack. Local officials said one person was injured in a Russian drone strike.
Russia denies deliberately targeting civilians, though its attacks have killed and wounded thousands since the full-scale offensive began in February 2022.
