Storyline
Monte Cristo, 2007. Phillip Muirhouse, an author with a knack for chasing creepy stuff, decides to hole up alone in this old, supposedly haunted homestead. He’s got a documentary to shoot for his new book—because who doesn’t want to hang out with ghosts and cameras at the same time, right? Anyway, he totally ignores the golden rule all ghost hunters swear by: never go solo. Bad move. The footage starts off like your classic amateur ghost-hunting gig—creaky floorboards, cold spots, a few weird whispers caught on tape. But things start spiraling fast. Lights flicker, doors slam, and whatever’s haunting the place gets way too personal with Phillip. You start to wonder if he’s losing it or if the house actually hates him. Next thing you know, his little solo adventure turns into a full-blown nightmare, ending in his arrest. Turns out, the real horror isn’t just the ghosts—it’s what happens when you get trapped in a bad place with no backup. This docu-style story doesn’t pull any punches.
