Storyline
Swapna’s world pretty much crashes when she loses her parents as a kid, and she winds up haunted by this intense fear of death—necrophobia, if you want the fancy word. She gets raised by her uncle Ramakrishna and his wife Lakshmi, who are classic supportive types. Their daughter, Abhinaya, is all about Bharatanatyam dance, while Swapna finds her thing in music. Ramakrishna and Lakshmi totally back their passions, so there’s a ton of encouragement floating around. Meanwhile, Swapna gets therapy for her phobia from this music therapist, Akshay. Turns out, both Swapna and Abhinaya fall for Akshay at the same time—awkward, right? But Akshay’s not playing along; he’s got his own baggage. When the family tries to set him up with Swapna, he drops a bomb: he’s already married and has a daughter, but his wife ditched him and took the kid. Abhinaya, ever the fixer, manages to reunite Akshay with his daughter. The whole thing devastates Swapna, and she ends up taking her own life, leaving Abhinaya to pour herself completely into her dancing.
