Storyline

Two kids vanish in a Nepali border town, and the case lands on Detective Inspector Pooja’s desk—she’s yanked out of Kathmandu and dumped into chaos. The whole area’s a powder keg, protests exploding everywhere, politics basically eating the town alive. Pooja’s supposed to solve the kidnapping, but she’s drowning in local tension and straight-up hostility. She ends up teaming up with Mamata, a Madhesi officer who knows the streets but has her own battles with discrimination. These two women, dodging sexism and old-school attitudes at every turn, fight tooth and nail to get answers. They push past all the crap—corruption, riots, constant side-eye from the men around them. Yeah, they crack the case, but it’s not some triumphant victory lap. The win comes with scars: personal losses, tough choices, the mess that comes from fighting the system and each other. Inspired by the real-life madness during Nepal’s 2015 race protests, the story doesn’t pull punches about what it costs to actually seek justice.
