Storyline
Virgil Heitmeyer, classic high school underdog and total awkward mess, is still stuck in that land of the lonely hearts—yep, he’s a virgin. Not that he hasn’t tried, but let’s just say his game is more “tripping over his own shoelaces” than smooth operator. Suddenly, some sort of cosmic shift happens and he actually starts hanging out with Kellie Guthrie, who’s not just out of his league, she’s not even playing the same sport. She’s gorgeous, popular, and, for reasons that defy logic, seems to like having him around. Virgil is equal parts hopeful and terrified, convinced this might finally be his shot to join the ranks of the non-virgins. But, you know, nothing ever goes that easy for guys like him. The date’s a wild ride—awkward pauses, cringe-worthy moments, and a lot of nervous energy. Everything that could go wrong pretty much does. So, will Virgil finally get lucky, or will the universe keep laughing in his face? Honestly, it’s a toss-up.
