Askume news on September 26: Real Madrid said on Thursday it had banned Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior and Villarreal player Samuel Chukwe from two matches in Mallorca last year, after the fan was found guilty and given a suspended sentence.

The attacker, who was not named in the La Liga club’s statement, was suspended for 12 months after apologising in a letter to Vinicius and undergoing anti-discrimination training.

He was also banned from entering the stadium for three years.

Real Madrid said: “This is the third case of criminal punishment for racist insults by Real Madrid players in recent months. Racist behaviour.”

The incidents of abuse involving Vinicius and Chukwueze happened two weeks apart at the Sonmoix Stadium in Palma, the capital of Mallorca.

In the video, fans can be heard calling the Brazilian players monkeys during Mallorca’s match against Real Madrid. He has been vocal in condemning racism in Spanish football.

The club said the minor who racially abused Real Madrid midfielder Aurelian Chumeni in April has also apologised and expressed remorse. The young man has been banned from the stadium for a year, will participate in educational activities proposed by the prosecutor’s office and will pay a fine.
