Storyline
Winter 1862, smack in the middle of the Civil War. The US Army grabs this bunch of volunteers—guys who probably thought they were signing up for some heroic adventure—and ships them off to the far west. Their official gig? Roam the wild, uncharted borderlands, keep things in check, whatever that means. But, as you’d expect, nothing goes according to the neat little plan the army drew up. The mission starts getting fuzzy. Orders shift, the why behind everything just drifts away, and suddenly these soldiers are out in the middle of nowhere with no real clue what they're fighting for anymore. The landscape is harsh, unforgiving, and it messes with your head; what started as a patriotic venture now feels more like wandering through a fever dream. Loyalties blur, and the line between enemy and ally gets real messy. You can sense the exhaustion, the confusion—guys questioning every step, every order. By the time it’s all said and done, the original purpose? Gone. Just a bunch of lost souls chasing ghosts across the empty frontier.
