Storyline
Uzma Ahmed storms into the Indian Embassy in Pakistan, desperate and scared, saying she’s an Indian citizen who’s been trapped in a nightmare. Her husband, Tahir, has been abusing her—mentally, physically, you name it. The embassy folks are suspicious at first, almost thinking she’s some kind of spy, but then her documents check out. JP Singh, the Indian diplomat there, steps in and offers her protection, but things aren’t that simple. Tahir isn’t having it. He spins this wild story that Uzma’s being held against her will, trying to drag India’s reputation through the mud. JP figures the only way out is for Uzma to go public—share her side, lay it all out for everyone to see. Turns out, Uzma was duped into coming to Pakistan, forced to marry Tahir, and then stuck in this abusive mess. The clock’s ticking though—her visa’s running out, and once it does, not even the embassy can keep her safe. JP’s got just three weeks to sort it all before things get even messier.
