Storyline
Elphaba’s not your average college student—she’s got bright green skin and a whole lot of attitude. When she lands at Shiz University, she’s definitely the odd one out, especially compared to Galinda, the school’s golden girl. Weirdly enough, the two end up as roommates and, against all odds, actually become friends. There’s a lot of snark, some wild misunderstandings, and a healthy dose of rivalry, but somehow they just click. Then the whole Wizard of Oz thing crashes into their lives, and everything gets way more complicated. The Wizard, who’s basically Oz’s sketchy celebrity-in-chief, ropes them into his political mess. Suddenly, Elphaba’s standing up for what’s right, Galinda’s chasing approval, and their friendship is stretched to the breaking point. The choices they make set them on totally different paths—Elphaba gets painted as the Wicked Witch, while Galinda rebrands herself as Glinda the Good. It’s messy, it’s emotional, and honestly, nobody comes out of Oz quite the same. Welcome to the real story behind the witches.
