LONDON, Sept 19 (Askume) – Italian fashion house Prada (1913.F) played a game of twists for its spring/summer 2025 women’s collection at Milan Fashion Week on Thursday, launching belted skirts, oversized straps goggles and topless hats.

Designers Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons opened the show, titled “Infinite Present,” with a floral lace-up dress, followed by a black dress adorned with metal hoops.

The models wore shiny silver dresses, some with decorative holes, colorful leggings that turned into trousers and tailored trousers, and skirts that hung from belts.

These were prominently featured throughout the show and could also be seen tied to the models’ handbags or hanging from their hips.

There is plenty of outerwear available, including fitted tops, hot pants, knotted shirts and brightly coloured raincoats and jackets. A dark feathered dress is paired with an orange raincoat. Some models wore transparent skirts over leggings.

Accessories include large sunglasses and a goggles-like bucket hat that covers the face.

Shoes come in a variety of styles, from sandals to cowboy boots and colorful heels, some with flaps at the top.

Fashion house Roberto Cavalli headed to the Sicilian coast on Wednesday night for its first womenswear show since the death of its founding designer.

Creative director Fausto Puglisi named the line “Views from Zancle” in reference to the ancient name of Messina, his hometown in northeastern Sicily.

She opened the show with ivory and beige costumes – asymmetrical dresses, baggy pants and jackets with belts reminiscent of fishermen’s ropes, and dresses and skirts that look like fishing nets. The nautical prints are decorated with predominantly blue designs, while other pieces reflect golden sunsets.

Puglisi closed the show with seven vintage dresses, including a feathery zebra-print gown that paid tribute to founder Roberto Cavalli, who died in April at age 83.

Milan Fashion Week runs until September 23.
