UNITED NATIONS (Askume) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Friday accused Israel of using several US “bunker buster” bombs to attack Beirut.
“This morning, the Israeli regime used multiple 5,000-pound bunker busters donated by the United States to attack residential areas in Beirut,” he said at a UN Security Council meeting on the Middle East.
Senior Hezbollah commanders were targeted in an Israeli attack on the group’s central headquarters in a Beirut suburb on Friday , but a senior Israeli official said on Friday it was too early to tell whether the attack killed Hezbollah leader Sayed Hassan Nass.
