Today’s Valentino Spring 2025 show was one of the craziest shows of Paris Fashion Week: Designer Alessandro Michele made his highly anticipated debut for the brand, a moment that drew an A-list crowd to the front row. Some of Michele’s biggest supporters, who wore his red carpet looks during his time at Gucci, attended the event, including Elton John, Hollywood stars like Florence Welch, Jared Leto, and, of course, Harry Styles (one of his greatest muses). Styles deliberately opted for a minimal look for the event, though the singer kicked off sweater season with bright and bold knitwear.
Styles’ simple orange Valentino crewneck, embellished with a subtle “V” logo, was a far cry from Michele’s opulent Gucci creations (pearls! crystals! ruffles!) he’s worn in the past. Still, that old whimsical spirit remained: ruffled collars peeked out from beneath sweaters for a more unexpected feel. Still, with a pair of simple slacks and brown loafers, the overall look marked Styles’ entry into a new era of style — one of distinct maturity and sophistication. His huge Pilot, however, is 100% top-notch. You can bet he’ll be wearing Michele’s Valentino apparel at all of his upcoming red carpet appearances. If it looks this slick, count us in.
