It was a big week for fashion. Throw in the Spring 2025 shows during Paris Fashion Week, there have been many A-list spottings — and throw in a few big Hollywood premieres (Joker 2!) and the annual Albie Awards in New York City, too, and suddenly we had a few days full of celebrity. The best-dressed stars of the week? Those who leaned into sculptural silhouettes; whether it was a mini party dress or a maxi evening gown, the looks that stood out this week were those that emphasized shape.
In New York, Amal Clooney exuded classic glamour in a black column gown from Versace. However, the deep neckline made it look superstar-like. Zoe Kravitz also opted for a skin-baring design at the Saint Laurent show in Paris: The actor chose a black lace minidress that was completely transparent – a sexy update of the classic LBD.
Even on carpets, voluminous frocks took up space — in the best way possible. At the BOF event in Paris, Ayo Adebiri wore a floral Loewe gown with a full bustle-style skirt. It was the same for Lady Gaga at the Joker 2 premiere in London: she opted for a custom Celine ensemble including a red gown and puff-sleeved bolero jacket. We live for the drama of it all. Sorry, minimalism — sometimes extravagance wins.
