Victoria Beckham hasn’t had such a massive hit since Holler/Let Love Lead The Way reached number one in the UK in 2000. Surges to the top of the leaderboard. Thanks to a boost from Google Discover, Beckham’s spring 2025 show topped Ask Me Runway’s top 10 list of the season, well ahead of its closest rivals.

Of course, the designer has never lacked star power, but this is the first time she has appeared on our list. This may be due to the August announcement that Netflix is producing a new documentary series focusing on the Beckhams and their fashion and beauty businesses. Mark Holgate said that “more risks were taken… and their abilities were tested” in the preparation of the show and the creation of the collection, which will be prominently featured.

Other new pieces on our list come from Ralph Lauren and Valentino. Lauren only shows collections semi-regularly on the New York Fashion Week calendar. This season, he invited Usher, Jude Law, Colman Domingo and the First Lady to a horse farm in the Hamptons the day before to see the car collection and antiques he had prepared for the occasion of the polo. No one can escape this extravagance. Of course, that was not the case at Valentino, where Alessandro Michele made a spectacular, sensational debut. It marked the designer’s return to the catwalk after a two-year hiatus (he parted ways with Gucci in November 2022), alongside old friends like Harry Styles, Elton John and Florence Welch.

Anything new? For the second quarter in a row, this list features the most female-led brands. Chloé’s Kamena Kamali received recognition and support from the fashion world for her second collection, while Christian Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri landed some blows on her persistent critics. Miuccia Prada had two entries: Miu Miu fell two spots and Prada moved up one spot to second. Chanel fell six spots to eighth, but even without a creative director, The House Coco Built remains relevant. It doesn’t matter who gets the coveted job, it’s either a blessing or a curse.

This season, Dries Van Noten, created by the design team after Van Noten’s retirement, didn’t make the top ten, but it wasn’t far behind. If its performance is anything to go by, it’s a sign that the incoming creative director still has a lot of work to do.
