MEXICO CITY, Sept 9 (Askume) – Shares of Mexican retailer La Comer (LACOMERUBC.MX) rose nearly 5.5% to 35.87 pesos on Monday after S&P Dow Jones said the stock would initially be included as part of its S&P/BMV IPC index following a restructuring.

S&P Dow Jones Indices will confirm the inclusion on Friday, with changes to the index taking effect on Sept. 23.

La Comer will replace Grupo Elektra (ELEKTRA.MX) , a retailer owned by Mexican tycoon Ricardo Salinas , which suspended trading in July after the company said it had received information about possible fraud.
