Sept 12 (Askume) – Microsoft Corp’s (MSFT.O) productivity software suite experienced an outage for thousands of users on Thursday , according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

“We are investigating an issue where users may be unable to access a number of Microsoft 365 services,” the Windows parent company said in a post on X.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to questions about the nature and cause of the outage and whether it expected a resolution.

According to DownDetector, there have been more than 20,000 cases of Microsoft 365 problems. DownDetector monitors outages on its platform by collecting status reports from multiple sources, including user-submitted bugs.

About 4,000 users also reported issues related to Microsoft Teams.
