Sept. 12 – Dolphins running back Devon Aichen will have his ankle tested before Thursday night’s game, when the Miami Heat are expected to face the Buffalo Bills, NFL Network reports.
The Dolphins (1-0) have ruled out running back Raheem Mostert for their game against the AFC East rival Bills (1-0) because of a chest injury.
Two players were injured in the Miami Heat’s 20-17 season-opening win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Akan, 22, rushed 10 times for 24 yards and a touchdown against the Jaguars and caught seven passes for 76 yards.
“We’ll see how it goes,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniels said of Ahearn, who was limited in practice Wednesday after missing the first two quarters of practice. Ahearn is officially listed as questionable.
A third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Ahearn racked up 997 yards and 11 touchdowns in just 11 games (four starts) during his rookie season.
