MOSCOW, Sept 14 (Askume) – Russian officials threatened the West on Saturday that the war would spiral out of control and Kiev would be annexed to Ukraine, as Western leaders debated whether to allow Ukraine to invade Russian territory and use its weapons.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said late Friday that his plan for victory depended on decisions from Washington, an apparent reference to Kiev’s long-running quest for authorization from its NATO allies to launch far-right attacks.

“Tough decisions need to be made,” Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrei Yermak, said on the Telegram messaging app on Saturday. “Terrorist activities can be stopped by destroying military installations where they are active.”

Kiev says such strikes are crucial to its efforts to limit Moscow’s ability to attack Ukraine, but allies have so far been reluctant to allow them because they fear Moscow will escalate attacks and cast doubt on their effectiveness.

Although a formal decision on the matter has not yet been announced, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov claimed that a decision has been made and Kiev and Moscow have been informed. You must respond to this with action.

RIA Novosti quoted Ryabkov as saying: “The decision has been made absolutely freely, all concessions have been made (to Kiev), so we are ready for everything.”

“We’re going to react badly.”

‘Melting Place’

Medvedev, former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, said that the West is testing Russia’s patience, but there is no limit to it.

Medvedev said Ukraine invaded Russia’s Kursk region, which Zelensky said was an operation that successfully slowed Russia’s advance and provided Russia with formal justification to use its nuclear arsenal.

He said Moscow would either eventually resort to nuclear weapons or launch a massive attack using some of its non-nuclear but still deadly weapons innovations.

“This is all there is. A huge, grey, melting space instead of the ‘mother of Russian cities,'” he wrote on the Telegram messaging app, referring to Kiev.

Ukrainian President Yermak said of Russian President Vladimir Putin: “The Putin regime’s powerful threats only confirm its fears that terrorist acts may be imminent.”
