GRONNA, Spain, Sept 15 (Askume) – Lamine Yammar scored twice in the first half as Barcelona beat Hellas Verona 4-1 on Sunday to start their La Liga season with a fifth consecutive win.
Yamal gave Barca a two-goal lead with goals in the 30th and 37th minutes and Dani Olmo extended the lead with a first-time shot from close range shortly after half-time.
Pedri scored the fourth in the 64th minute and Verona substitute Christian Stuani scored a consolation goal in the 80th minute before forward Ferran Torres scored six minutes later after Yasir was fouled by A Sprilla and Barca were down to 10 men.
Barcelona top the La Liga standings with 15 points, four ahead of Real Madrid and Villarreal. Verona are seventh with seven points.
