Sept. 16 – Harrison Butker kicked a 51-yard field goal as time expired, helping the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals 26-25 on Sunday.

Patrick Mahomes completed 18 of 25 passes for only 151 yards. He threw two touchdowns, including a 44-yard pass to Rashee Rice, but was also intercepted twice.

Isaiah Pacheco rushed for a team-high 90 yards on 19 carries (2-0) and the Chiefs beat the Bengals 149-74.

Joe Burrow completed 23 of 36 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns to Andrei Iosivas for the Bengals (0-2). The game was one of the NFL’s most exciting rivalries over the past four years. Burrow’s lifetime record against Mahomes is 3-2.

Saints 44, Cowboys 19

Alvin Kamara scores four touchdowns, including one of two scoring passes to Derek Carr, and New Orleans beats Dallas to end the Cowboys’ regular season streak of 16 consecutive home wins.

Rashid Shahid caught a 70-yard touchdown pass from Carr, who completed 11 of 16 passes for 243 yards, including an interception and two scores. The Saints (2-0) scored touchdowns on their first six possessions and led 41-19 at the end of the third quarter.

Dak Prescott passed for 293 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions to lead Dallas (1-1). CeeDee Lamb caught a 65-yard touchdown pass and Brandon Oubre made all four of his field goals.

Chargers 26, Panthers 3

Justin Herbert threw two touchdown passes to Quentin Johnston, JK Dobbins ran for 131 yards and a TD at Shiloh, Los Angeles controlled most of the game in a special win over Carolina.

Herbert completed 14 of 20 for 130 yards and an interception, but the Chargers (2-0) didn’t need many big plays for their first win under first-year head coach Jim Harbaugh. Dobbins averaged 7.7 yards on 17 carries and scored a 43-yard run in the second quarter to make it 20-0.

Panthers quarterback Bryce Young had little to do offensively. He was 18 of 26 for 84 yards and an interception. Chuba Hubbard rushed for 64 yards on 10 carries. The Panthers (0-2), who lost 47-10 to New Orleans earlier in the week, had only two first downs and 54 total yards at halftime.

Raiders 26, Ravens 23

Davante Adams caught nine passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, and Daniel Carlson kicked a 38-yard field goal with 27 seconds remaining against visiting Las Vegas. The team beat Baltimore.

Carlson hit a 25-yard field goal and the Raiders (1-1) got to their 23-yard line on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Adams to Gardner Minshew with 3:54 left. The Ravens’ next drive stalled when a bad punt and penalty brought Las Vegas to the Baltimore 43-yard line with 2:21 remaining. Minshew led the Raiders with 23 yards on six plays, giving Carlson the go-ahead goal. Minshew completed 30 of 38 for 276 yards and an interception.

Derrick Henry ran 18 times for 84 yards and a touchdown, and Lamar Jackson ran 21 of 34 times for 247 yards, including a touchdown and an interception. The Ravens are 0–2 for the first time since 2015.

Packers 16, Colts 10

Malik Willis threw a touchdown pass and host Green Bay used a potent offense to beat Indianapolis.

Josh Jacobs rushed for 151 yards on 32 carries and Willis had 41 yards for the Packers (1-1), who won their 12th consecutive home opener.

Anthony Richardson completed 17 of 34 passes for 204 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions. Jonathan Taylor, who played at the University of Wisconsin, rushed for 103 yards on 12 carries and Alec Pierce scored on a 4-yard touchdown run for the Colts (0-2).

Pirates 20, Lions 16

Baker Mayfield completed 12 of 19 passes for 185 yards and a touchdown and added a run score to lead Tampa Bay past Detroit.

Chris Godwin caught seven passes for 117 yards and a touchdown for the Buccaneers (2-0), who lost to the Lions in the NFC divisional playoffs in Detroit last season. Tampa Bay won Sunday despite a 463-216 total yardage loss.

Aidan Hutchinson had 4.5 sacks for the Lions (1-1), one short of the team’s single-game sack record. Detroit’s Jared Goff completed 34 of 55 passes for 307 yards and two interceptions.

Vikings 23, 49, 17

Sam Darnold completed 17 of 26 passes for 268 yards, two touchdowns and an interception as Minnesota beat San Francisco in Minneapolis.

Justin Jefferson caught four passes for 133 yards, including a career-long 97-yard touchdown, to lead the Vikings (2-0). Jalen Naylor also had a touchdown catch.

Brock Purdy completed 28 of 36 passes for 319 yards, a touchdown and an interception for the 49ers (1-1). Jordan Mason, replacing injured starter Christian McCaffrey in Game 2, rushed 20 times for 100 yards and a touchdown.

Seahawks 23, Patriots 20 (overtime)

Jason Myers’ 31-yard field goal with 4:37 remaining in overtime gave Seattle the win over New England in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Miles also made a significant contribution in regulation time and tied the score at 20-20 by making a 38-yard field goal with 55 seconds remaining in the game. Geno Smith completed 33 of 44 passes for 327 yards and a touchdown for the Seahawks (2-0). His favorite targets are Jackson Smith-Njigba (12 catches, 117 yards) and DK Metcalf (10 catches, 129 yards, TD).

Running back Antonio Gibson threw for 96 yards for the Patriots (1-1), and Jacoby Brissett completed 15 of 27 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown.

Jets 24, Titans 17

Braylon Allen scored two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score late in the fourth quarter, to give New York a second-half comeback win over Tennessee State in Nashville, Tenn.

Aaron Rodgers overcame a slow start and completed 18 of 30 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns for the Jets (1-1). Bryce Hall ran for 62 yards on 14 carries.

Will Lewis completed 19 of 28 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown (Calvin Ridley’s 40-yard run with 3:22 left in the third quarter) while also being intercepted. Ridley scored two of the Titans’ (0-2) touchdowns.

Browns 18, Jaguars 13

Deshaun Watson ran for a touchdown and passed for 186 yards to help Cleveland beat Jacksonville.

Dustin Hopkins kicked three field goals and Alex Wright laid down a key safety for the Browns (1-1), who converted all three fourth-down opportunities on a loaded afternoon.

Travis Etienne Jr. ran for a touchdown for the Jaguars (0-2). Trevor Lawrence completed 14 of 30 passes for 220 yards for Jacksonville, which has lost seven of its last eight regular-season games.

Commander 21, Vishal 18

Austin Siebert made a franchise-record seven field goals, including the game-winning 30-yard field goal as the game ended to give Washington a win over New York in Landover, Maryland.

Commander rookie Jayden Daniels completed 23 of 29 passes for 226 yards and drove 65 yards in the final 2:04 for the game-winning field goal. Bryan Robinson rushed for a career-high 133 yards on 17 carries, helping Washington (1-1) snap an NFL-high nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Daniel Jones completed 16 of 28 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns for the Giants (0-2). Rookie Malik Neighbors had 10 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown, but he picked off a pass on fourth down with 2:04 remaining in the game to give the Commanders their final possession.

Steelers 13, Broncos 6

Justin Fields ran for 117 yards and Darnell Washington scored the game’s only touchdown as Pittsburgh beat Denver.

Chris Boswell added two more targets for the Steelers (2-0), who had eight targets in their first two games of the season. In the Broncos’ first home game (0-2), rookie quarterback Bo Nix went 20-of-35 passing for 246 yards and two interceptions.

Quarterback Russell Wilson returned to Denver without much fanfare, where he spent two forgettable seasons before signing with the Steelers. Wilson did not play for the second consecutive week due to a calf injury.

Cardinals 41, Rams 10

Kyler Murray completed 17 of 21 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns, two of which were by rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., as Arizona Cardinals easily defeated Los Angeles.

Entering his first home game, Harrison had four catches for 130 yards for Arizona (1-1). James Conner rushed 21 times for 122 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals outgained the Rams 489-245.

Matthew Stafford completed 19 of 27 passes for 216 yards for Los Angeles (0-2). Kyren Williams scored the only touchdown for the Rams but had only 25 yards on 12 carries. Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp injured his left ankle in the second quarter and did not return.
