LONDON, Sept 16 (Askume) – The London Metal Exchange (LME) has appointed former Credit Suisse banker Robert Arbuthnot as the group’s chief financial and administrative officer.
Arbuthnot served for seven years as group treasurer and chief accountant of Credit Suisse Group AG, and prior to that was chief financial officer of its UK operations, Credit Suisse Group AG said in a statement.
Mr Arbuthnot, a chartered accountant, will take immediate responsibility for the world’s oldest and largest industrial metals market.
The LME is owned by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (0388.HK).
