Askume, Sept 17 – Chinese coast guard ships Meishan and Xiushan have arrived at the Russian Far East port of Vladivostok to carry out joint exercises and patrols with Russian coast guard ships, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday.
“A number of activities are planned during the visit, including joint exercises and patrols,” RIA Novosti quoted the local branch of the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying.
According to RIA Novosti, a formal meeting of the fleets took place on Tuesday and the exercises will continue until September 20.
