Sept 12 (Askume) – Concerns about wider conflict in the Middle East have caused international airlines to suspend flights to the region or decide to avoid affected airspace.

    Here’s a list of some of the airlines making adjustments to flights to and from the region:

    Air Algeria

    Air Algeria has suspended flights to and from Lebanon until further notice.

    Baltic

    Latvian airBalticFlights to and from Tel Aviv have been cancelled until 15 September.

    Air France-KLM (AIRF.PA)

    KLMAll flights to and from Tel Aviv have been cancelled until 26 October.

    Transavia, a low-cost airline owned by a Franco-Dutch groupFlights to and from Tel Aviv are suspended until March 31, 2025, and flights to Amman and Beirut until November 3.

    Air IndiaAll scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv have been suspended until further notice.

    Cathay Pacific (0293.HK)

    Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific AirwaysAll flights to Tel Aviv have been cancelled until March 27, 2025.

    Delta Air Lines (DAL.N)

    The US airline has suspended flights between New York and Tel Aviv until October 31.

    EasyJet (EZJ.L)

    The British budget airline stopped flights to Tel Aviv in April and will resume flights on March 30, 2025, a spokesperson said.

    IAG (ICAG.L)

    Spanish low-cost airline Vueling, owned by IAGAll flights to Tel Aviv and Amman have been cancelled until 26 October.

    Very

    The Polish flag carrier said in emailed comments on September 10 that it has suspended flights to Lebanon until further notice, while flights to Tel Aviv are currently operating normally.

    Lufthansa Group (LHAG.DE)

    The German aviation group, which includes airlines such as Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines, resumed flights to Tel Aviv on 5 September , while flights to Beirut were suspended until 30 September.

    Separately, Swiss International Air Lines, another Lufthansa Group company, said it had suspended flights to Beirut until the end of October.

    Ryanair (RYA.I)

    Europe’s largest low-cost airline cited “operational restrictions” as the reasonFlights to and from Tel Aviv have been cancelled until 26 October.

    Sun Express

    SunExpress, a joint venture between Turkish Airlines (THYAO.IS) and Lufthansa, has suspended flights to Beirut until Dec. 17.

    United Airlines (UAL.O)

    The Chicago-based airline has suspended flights to Tel Aviv for the foreseeable future due to security concerns .

    Lebanese airspace alert

    The United Kingdom advised British Airways not to enter Lebanese airspace between 8 August and 4 November, citing a “potential threat to aviation from military activities”.
