Askume, Sept 12 – China Development Bank Financial Leasing (1606.HK) said on Thursday it will buy 80 Airbus (AIR.PA) A320neo aircraft , with deliveries expected to begin in 2030.

The purchase will optimise the fleet structure of its aviation unit and increase the proportion of next-generation aircraft with higher fuel efficiency and broader market reach, it said in a statement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Deliveries are expected between 2030 and 2032, the company said.

European aircraft maker Airbus has struggled to meet delivery targets due to supply chain issues affecting the entire aviation industry .
