Sept 20 (Askume) – General Motors Co (GM.N) will recall 449,671 pickup trucks and SUVs in the United States because of insufficient brake fluid warnings, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday.
The recall includes certain 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2023-2024 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade, and Escalade ESV models.
NHTSA said the electronic brake control module software on the affected vehicles may not display a warning light when brake fluid is lost.
NHTSA said dealers will fix the problem through an over-the-air update to the electronic brake control module software.
