BERLIN, Sep 19 (Askume) –Union IG Metall reiterated its demand that all Volkswagen AG (VOWG_p.DE) plants in Germany remain open and sign new job security agreements, according to a report seen by Askume on Thursday.

Talks between Volkswagen and Germany’s most powerful union are set to begin on Sept. 25, about a month earlier than originally planned.

The unions have called on employees to take part in protests ahead of the talks.

“Chief Executive Officer (Oliver) Bloom and Brand Manager (Thomas) Schaefer are currently busy designing tombstones for various locations,” the union said in the ad.
