Bella Hadid has spent the last 12 months competing in “cutting” competitions: a traditional equestrian sport in which a rider and horse demonstrate their ability to handle cattle in front of a panel of judges. I imagine Hadid will put this experience into action at Paris Fashion Week, sending the crowd backstage while on her (currently rumored) runway.

Yesterday afternoon, the model stepped out of Hippie Market, a vintage store on Rue Rambuteau, wearing a majestic Saint Laurent bomber jacket made of distressed lambskin, paired with the brand’s soon-to-be-released Y tote bag. Some people still believe in a good coat: one that can withstand the elements, stand the test of time, and actually work as a complete outfit during the colder months. Though Hadid appears to have made an instant connection with Anthony Vaccarello, the model is still hiding out on Depop. (Her knee-high pumps were reportedly purchased second-hand from the store @juicylovesyou.) This high-low approach to dressing has been Hadid’s style for a while now. Take, for example, the biker jacket and miniskirt set she wore underneath the bomber jacket, a piece not from any self-proclaimed fashion brand, but a collaboration between Canadian internet celebrity Ruby Lynn and Australian brand With Jeans.
