Jennie is a famous Chanel girl, so it’s no surprise that the singer sat front row at the brand’s Spring 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week yesterday. However, the BLACKPINK member and solo artist surprised fans with a new platinum blonde color. “My hair needs no explanation,” Jennie said with a smile. (Apparently, she just wanted to make a statement.) “Chanel always gives me inspiration and good energy. I always look forward to the concept and looks of the Chanel fashion show.”
Jenny’s dramatic beauty transformation wasn’t the only star of her runway look. The singer made a statement in a turquoise knit top and mint green hot pants, which she accessorized with a string of Chanel pearls. Of course, she added a quilted handbag. “I was inspired by the looks of 1960s fashion icons like Edie Sedgwick and Twiggy, who set trends at the time,” Jenny says. “I reinterpreted their signature pops of color, color combinations and contemporary styles in a contemporary way to create my look.” It’s a fresh and youthful take on Chanel’s classic pieces. “For an event like this, I like to take the elegant and feminine style used by the original models and put my own spin on it,” she adds. “Sometimes I go for a trendy, cool or girly vibe.”
Ask Jenny, what are your thoughts on cozy weather now that fall is officially here? “When the weather is cooler, I really enjoy wearing different types of clothes,” Jenny said. “I love putting on my favorite leather jacket and enjoying the fall weather.” (We think so, too.) The star says she’ll also be putting an emphasis on accessories. “I’m collecting fun socks and little things like brooches and scarves,” Jenny said. “They add personality to my outfits. I also love collecting pants. There are so many colors and styles and it feels like a never-ending journey.”
Fashion aside, Jennie has a pretty busy few weeks ahead. First of all, she’s releasing her new single “Mantra” this month. “It’s something that me and my fans are really looking forward to,” she said. “I’ll be focusing on creating opportunities for us to connect and communicate so we can share special experiences together and interact with fans around the world.” “It’s a fun, upbeat song that celebrates female power and inspires every woman to feel confident to shine in her own way.” If it were anything like “You and Me” or “Solo,” it would be a blast.
