LOS ANGELES (Askume) – Country music awards voters on Monday snubbed superstar singer Beyonce’s album “Cowboy Carter” and gave singer Morgan Wallen seven nominations.

Warren will compete against Luke Combs, Jerry Rolle, Chris Stapleton and Lenny Wilson for Entertainer of the Year. Warren’s four nominations are for “I’ve Got Some Help” with Post Malone.

The CMA winners will be announced on November 20 during a ceremony broadcast live on ABC.

This spring, “Cowboy Carter” became the first album by a Black woman to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s country albums chart. “Texas Hold ‘Em” also became the first single by a Black woman to top the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Beyoncé has said that “Cowboy Carter” was born out of her experience being “unpopular” in the country music world.

Experts and fans regard the album as a reclamation of and tribute to the overlooked legacy of Black Americans in country music and culture.
