Askume, KIEV, Sep 21 – Serhiy Lesak, governor of the central Ukrainian city of Krivorog, said on Saturday that Russia launched a missile attack on the city of Krivorog at night, killing a 12-year-old boy and two elderly women.

“The enemy once again launched a terrible attack on Krivoy Rog. In the middle of the night, when the city was asleep,” Lisak wrote in a telegram.

Three others were injured and were sent to hospital with minor injuries, he said.

The two elderly women killed in the attack were 75 and 79 years old. Lesac also said two buildings were destroyed and 20 others were damaged.

Kryvyi Rih, a major steel-producing city just 40 miles from the nearest Russian-occupied territory, has been repeatedly hit by air raids.
