LONDON, Sept 11 (Askume) – Britain has imposed sanctions on 10 vessels in Russia’s “shadow fleet”, saying the ships were using illegal practices to evade Western oil sanctions on Russia.
“Today’s sanctions further weaken Russia’s ability to trade oil through its shadow fleet,” British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said in a statement Wednesday.
“Together with our partners, we will continue to send a clear message to Russia that the international community stands with Ukraine and that we will not tolerate this illicit fleet.”
