LONDON, Sept 11 (Askume) – Britain will provide an extra 600 million pounds ($781 million) in aid to Ukraine, Foreign Secretary David Lammy said on Wednesday. Lammy visited Kyiv with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken .
The British government said it would provide Ukraine with £242 million in funds until the end of the year to help with humanitarian needs as well as a £484 million loan guarantee from the World Bank.
The UK hasCommitted to providing £3 billion of military aid to Ukraine each year as needed .
Lamy said in a statement that the latest funding would “provide vital support to Ukrainians who continue to face attacks from Russia.”
“Together with the United States, we will stand firmly with Ukraine for as long as necessary,” he said.
Britain said it would also provide Ukraine with hundreds of anti-aircraft missiles, thousands of artillery pieces and more armoured vehicles by the end of the year.
