September 19 – Jordan Adams singles in the bottom of the 13th inning to give the Los Angeles Angels a 4–3 win in a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox.

With runner Eric Vagamon on third base, Adams hit a 1-0 single into the infield to tie the innings off reliever Jairo Iriarte (0-1), before a hard grounder off a slider bounced off the glove of third baseman Miguel Vargas and into the short hole, giving him the first walk-off hit of his career.

It was Chicago’s 117th loss (36-117), tied for the third-most in modern major league history with the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics (36-117-1) and the 1962 New York Mets, who were only three games away. It was the White Sox’ 10th walkoff loss of the season.

Jack Neto became the third player in Angels history to hit 20 home runs, 30 doubles and 30 stolen bases in a single season. He completed his 30th steal in his eighth season. Neto hit 21 home runs and 31 doubles and joined Devon White (1987) and Mike Trout (2013, 2016) in achieving this feat.

Jose Quezada (2-0) earned the win for Los Angeles (62-90) by pitching a scoreless inning. Gustavo Campero went 2 for 5 with a run and an RBI.

Andrew Vaughn homered and Lenin Sosa had two hits each for Chicago.

The White Sox took a 1–0 lead in the fourth when Vaughn hit his 19th homer, from 392 feet into the left field bullpen.

Los Angeles was tied 1-1 with reliever Justin Anderson on first base in the eighth inning. Neto led off the bases with a walk and then stole second. He was then tagged out on Campello’s flyout and moved to third when Taylor Ward hit a single off the glove of shortstop Nicky Lopez.

In the 10th inning, with the White Sox leading 2–1, home run runner Corey Lee was sent to third base and then scored on Vargas’s sacrifice fly.

The Angels tied the game in the second half. Automatic runner Adams was thrown out at third by Neto, then Campello scored on a line single to left.

Chicago took a 3–2 lead in the 11th inning when Andrew Benintendi hit a double to right field, moving automatic runner Jacob Amaya to second.

But Los Angeles tied the game in the bottom half on Wagner’s RBI single, and homer Mickey Moniak sent in Brandon Drury to relieve him.
