Sept. 15-TJ Friedel had a home run and two RBI. He went 4-for-4 with a home run and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Minnesota Twins 11-1 on Saturday night in Minneapolis.

Noelvi Marte was 2-5 with two runs in the fourth inning and nine walks for Cincinnati (73-77). Spencer Steele and Jonathan India also scored two each for the Reds, who will sweep the series in three games on Sunday.

Byron Buxton scored the only point for Minnesota (78–70).

The Reds had 15 hits and the Twins had five.

Reds right-hander Nick Martinez (9-6) limited the Twins to one run on three hits in six innings. He gave up no walks, struck out six and struck out 54 in 76 pitches.

Twins right-hander Simon Woods-Richardson (5-5) allowed three runs on five hits in three-plus innings. He issued three walks and struck out three.

Minnesota scored first, then Cincinnati answered in a big way. Buxton hit an infield single in the first, scoring Matt Woerner.

The Reds turned a 0-1 deficit into a 9-1 lead in the fourth quarter. Cincinnati had 12 batters on the pitch in the big inning.

Ty France led off with an infield single, scoring Steele. Marte hit a two-run ground-rule double later in the inning and India added a two-run single to make it 5–1.

Steele took advantage in the second half of the inning with a two-run double to score Eli De La Cruz and the Indians. Friedel finished the high-octane inning with a two-run blast to right-center field, his 13th home run.

Jake Fraley’s single in the fifth inning increased Cincinnati’s lead to 10–1. It was his fifth home run of the season and his first since September 1 against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Will Benson gave the Reds an 11-1 lead with an RBI single in the eighth inning. His hit to right field gave the Indians the lead, and the Indians opened the inning with a double.
