Sept. 9—Colorado guard Shiloh Sanders broke his right hand and is recovering.

He was injured while trying to make a tackle in the first quarter of Saturday’s 28-10 loss to Nebraska.

Sanders’ father, Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, provided an update on social media on Monday.

“God is good! I can’t wait to see you back and ready to play. Love you, son!” The coach posted a photo of Shiloh lying in a hospital bed.

Buffalo has not announced a timetable for his return.

Shiloh Sanders made nine targets and an interception and two tackles against the Cornhuskers in a 31-26 loss to North Dakota State in the season opener on Aug. 29.

In his first season at Colorado, he led the team in tackles (70) and forced fumbles (four) and was named second-team Pac-12 in 2023. He played at South Carolina (2019-20) before joining his father at Jackson State and Colorado.
