DHAKA, Sept 12 (Askume) – Bangladesh fast bowler Shorif Islam will miss Pakistan’s two-test series in India this month because of a back injury, the country’s cricket board said on Thursday.

Shoriful, 23, took three wickets in the first Test in Rawalpindi but could not play the second match due to injury.
“Left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam is still recovering from a back injury and will not be available for the series,” the Bangladesh Cricket Board said after announcing its 16-member squad for the India tour.
Uncapped bowler Ali Anik has been named as the second wicketkeeper although Liton Das, who scored the match-winning runs in the second Test against Pakistan, will retain wicketkeeping duties.
The first Test match will start on 19 September in Chennai and the second match will be played on 27 September in Kanpur.
India are ranked first in the World Test Championship and second in the ICC official Test rankings, seven places above Bangladesh.
After taking on Bangladesh, the Rohit Sharma-led India will play three Tests in New Zealand, followed by a five-Test series against Australia.
