Askume, Sept 19 – The MotoGP team announced on Thursday that Australian rider Jack Miller will leave the Red Bull KTM team and return to the Pramac Racing Team next season, and confirmed the entry list of all 22 riders for the 2025 season.

Miller will join Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira at the new team, who will switch from Ducati to Yamaha after the 2024 season .

Miller is a top-class veteran who raced for Honda and Ducati before moving to KTM in 2023. He also drove for Pramac Racing from 2018 to 2020.

“I feel like I have some unfinished business here and I’m not ready to pack up my bat and ball and go home,” Miller told reporters ahead of this weekend’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

“I’m very grateful to Yamaha for giving me this opportunity and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”

After finishing in the top five in the riders’ standings with the Ducati factory team in 2021 and 2022, Miller has struggled with KTM over the past two seasons, winning a single race and finishing on the podium only once.

Meanwhile, MotoGP newcomer Pedro Acosta has impressed at the KTM satellite team, with the 20-year-old Spaniard (sixth this season) set to move up to the factory team in 2025.

Pramac Racing, which is using the Desmosedici GP24 bike (the same as the factory Ducati team) this season, will also have a factory 2025 YZR-M1 bike with full factory support.

Yamaha Racing managing director Lyn Jarvis said: “Jack will be a huge asset to Yamaha after working at MotoGP level for 10 years with three different manufacturers.”

“His speed, knowledge, work ethic and team spirit will be invaluable to our program as we plan to improve the performance of the M1 in 2025 and beyond, and Yamaha will support him in every way possible.”

Pramac Racing’s current driver line-up will depart at the end of the season, with title contender Jorge Martin moving to Aprilia and Franco Morbidelli joining the VR46 Racing team.
