Sept. 20—New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers was ruled out for the second half of Thursday night’s game against the host New York Jets with an ankle injury.

Peppers was injured while throwing a 27-yard pass to Allen Lazard on the first play of the second quarter. He was listed as unavailable and eventually returned, but was later seen returning to the dressing room before halftime. The Jets led 14-3 at halftime.

Peppers made four tackles before failing to finish the first half.

Peppers, 28, took the field Thursday and has 12 tackles in two games (all starts) this season.
