BREMEN, Germany, Sept 21 (Askume) – Goalless Bayern Munich continued their impressive start to the Bundesliga with Michael Olise scoring two goals and assisting two to win a one-sided game at Werder Stadium.

The Bavarians lost comfortably 1-0 to Werder Bremen in their last league game in January and now have 12 points from four games.

“(Olis) is a great player,” Bayern striker Jamal Musiala told Sky Sports.

Winger Olise was signed from Premier League club Crystal Palace in July for a reported €60 million ($66.97 million) and quickly established himself in the first team. He once again demonstrated the faith placed in him by head coach Vincent Kompany by playing an active role in Bayern’s attack.

Bayern, who have scored 20 goals in three games in all competitions, had their first shot on target in the 23rd minute when Harry Kane collected the ball on the edge of the area and passed to Oliseh, who beat goalkeeper Michael Zetterle.

In the 32nd minute, the French winger broke into the Bremen penalty area and his return pass was saved by Musiala.

After the halftime break, Bayern continued to attack. Olise sent a shot to Kane from the edge of the penalty area, which led to Kane scoring his 41st goal in the Bundesliga and becoming the highest scoring English player in the history of the German top league.

Oliseh scored his fifth goal in three games with a superb side-foot shot into the top corner before substitute Serge Gnabry completed the scoring in the 65th minute.

“It’s been a fantastic week. It’s down to the attitude and the mentality of the players,” Kane told Sky Sports.

“The way we play with and without the ball is fantastic. The team is using it well and the players are getting fit and even after scoring three, four, five goals we are still working hard and thinking about scoring one more goal.”

Bayern are missing veteran goalkeeper Neuer. Neuer was originally included in the starting lineup, but was absent due to a thigh injury after the warm-up match, but the change did not have much effect.

Substitute Sven Ulreich looked quiet throughout the game and didn’t have a single shot on target against Bremen’s weak attack.

Bayern conserved energy in the final 15 minutes of the game in preparation for a potentially challenging match against champions Bayer Leverkusen next Saturday.
