KIEL, Germany, Sept 14 (Askume) – Bayern Munich beat Kiel Holstein 6-1 on Saturday to move top of the Bundesliga table but the departure of coaching staff Vincent Kompany appears to be in vain as they continued their dominance in the domestic league.

Bayern’s grip on the Bundesliga was broken with Leverkusen’s record-breaking unbeaten title run last season, and the Bavarians are keen to restore order this season.

“I said it’s only three games. I know, I know, it’s always important for Bayern (to stay top of the table) but at the moment it’s only three games,” Kompany said in a press conference ahead of his first season in charge.

“Today was a good day, Tuesday will be a good day and so on,” Kompany said.

“If we keep going the way we are right now, maybe by the end of the season … I don’t even want to say that. We have to keep moving forward.”

Bayern have made it three wins in three league games after Harry Kane’s hat-trick in the win at Kiel and now have nine points, two ahead of Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig.

They started brightly, scoring three goals in the first 13 minutes, while Kiel had a poor start, including defensive errors, and they made it four consecutive wins in all competitions this season under Kompany.
