Sep 18 (Askume) – Anthony Martial left Manchester United in June after spending nine years at the club and is set to join AEK Athens. The Greek top club said the former France striker will arrive there on Wednesday to complete the transfer.
British media reported the 28-year-old has agreed to sign with the 13-time Greek champions on a free transfer, earning him £2.5 million ($3.3 million) per season, making him one of AEK’s highest-paid players.
In an Instagram post, AEK welcomed Martial, who won the Europa League and FA Cup with United and scored 63 Premier League goals in 209 appearances for the club.
