Sept 12 (Askume) – Spanish midfielder Garvey returned to training with Barcelona on Thursday nearly 10 months after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
Garvey underwent surgery last November after suffering the injury in Spain’s Euro 2024 qualifying win over Georgia and was ruled out of Spain’s squad for the Euros and the rest of the season.
Barcelona posted a video on social media of the 20-year-old training with the team, but Garvey is not expected to return to the field just yet, with the club’s next match on Sunday at home to Hellas Verona.
Barcelona have made a strong start to the season under new coach Hansi Flick, topping the La Liga table with four wins from four games, four points ahead of defending champions Real Madrid.
