Sept 17 (Askume) – Midfielder Jorginho has boosted the Gunners’ confidence ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday, saying Arsenal players are not satisfied with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland’s goals.

Manchester City have performed well in the league so far, while Arsenal have achieved 3 wins and 1 draw. Haaland scored nine goals in four league games and has scored 99 goals in 103 games for Manchester City, including two hat-tricks.

The Norwegian aims to reach his century of Champions League appearances against Inter Milan on Wednesday, while Arsenal begin their European tour at Atalanta on Thursday before facing Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

“Erling scored again… it made us laugh,” the 32-year-old Italian said. “We watch the game because we all watch sports and love the Premier League.”

“We will look at Manchester City as well, that’s normal. It doesn’t go into our minds. We need to focus on ourselves and that’s what we are trying to do.”

Jorginho praised Arsenal’s improved mentality from last season, pointing to their 1-0 win over Tottenham despite the absence of key players such as captain Martin Odegaard and Declan Tottenham.

“You get to know each other better…everyone wants to improve and do the best for the team. When you put the team first, I think only good things will happen,” he added.

“Have faith in what you’re doing. I think we’re on the right track.”

Arsenal beat the Champions League leaders 1-0 at home last season and finished second in the league after drawing 0-0 away from home.
