Sept 24 (Askume) – Partizan Belgrade fans vandalised the team’s dressing room and head coach Aleksandar Stanojevic after their team lost 0-4 to Red Star Belgrade in Serbia on Monday.

Red Star have won the last three Belgrade derbies and Monday’s victory was their biggest since 1998, when they won by the same scoreline.

“The disgruntled fans broke the glass, which was unpleasant. I wore a Band-Aid to the press conference, but there was no need to dramatise,” Stanojevic told reporters.

“And nothing happened, no fight, no physical confrontation. It wasn’t any drama.”

Stanojevic said the loss was the worst of his career.

He said, “I apologize to every Partizan fan for the way we lost the game.”

“I take responsibility for it, it’s the worst defeat of my career. We lost the game and it was my fault… It’s a shame for all of us. It’s the biggest shame for me as well.”
