Sept. 10—Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Harrison Phillips agreed to a two-year contract extension on Tuesday.

Although NFL Network reports the deal is worth up to $19 million, with more than $13 million guaranteed, the team did not disclose financial terms.

Phillips, 28, has started in all 35 games since signing a three-year deal with the Vikings through 2022. He will now play with the team through the 2026 season.

“He’s done a lot of great things for us that get overlooked from a team-building and brotherhood perspective, and he’s a great person, too,” Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores said Tuesday.

Phillips recorded a sack and five tackles in Sunday’s 28-6 win against the New York Giants in the season opener.

Phillips, who was named the 2023 Walter Payton NFL Player of the Year, has 263 completions in 80 games (46 starts) with the Buffalo Bills (2018-21) and Vikings along with a tackle, seven sacks and four fumbles.
