BEIJING, Sept 19 (Askume) – Chinese technology company Alibaba (9988.HK) released a new open source artificial intelligence model and text-to-video artificial intelligence technology on Thursday, as it seeks to compete in the fast-growing field of generic artificial intelligence. Big.

The number of these open source models is more than 100, and they come from the latest basic macro language model Quen 2.5 series released by Alibaba in May.

Like their American counterparts, Chinese tech companies are investing heavily in generative artificial intelligence, with companies rushing to develop strong product portfolios and diverse offerings.

Rivals such as Baidu (9888.HK) and OpenAI have primarily taken a closed-source approach, while Alibaba has adopted a hybrid model that combines proprietary and open-source development to expand the scope of its artificial intelligence products.

Alibaba said in a statement that the parameters of its new model range from 0.5 to 72 billion. These variables determine the capabilities and performance of the artificial intelligence model, including size, math, coding capabilities and support for more than 29 languages.

These models are designed to meet a wide range of AI applications in various fields, including automotive, gaming, and scientific research.

Alibaba also launched a new text-to-video mode on Thursday as part of an integrated Vientiane image creation chain, joining a growing number of Chinese technology companies entering the emerging market.

The move will put Alibaba in direct competition with global companies such as OpenAI, which has also shown interest in text-to-video technology.
