Storyline
Cameraman Samar Kumar, who’s stuck grinding away at EBT News in the entertainment section, gets thrown into chaos when he’s sent to Godhra with Manika Rajpurohit, the channel’s English news star. The two hit the scene right after the Sabarmati Express disaster, with blood and bodies everywhere—real nightmare stuff. Manika’s coverage jumps straight into the drama, blaming communal riots, and then bolts back to Delhi, leaving Samar to haul the footage. Thing is, Samar smells something off. He starts poking around, talking to survivors, and uncovers a totally different take on what happened. He puts together a second tape with the real story, hands it in, only to get betrayed. The channel buries his work, pushes Manika’s sensational coverage, and basically ruins his career. Fired and blacklisted, Samar spirals, drowning his sorrows in booze and scraping by. But five years later, Amrita—a fresh-faced reporter from EBT—tracks him down, hoping he’ll help unravel the actual truth behind the train tragedy, giving Samar one last shot at redemption.
