Filippo Grazioli will step down as Missoni’s creative director after more than two years to pursue “new creative and artistic challenges,” Missoni said today. He will be replaced by company veteran Alberto Caliri.
Caliri served as creative director on an interim basis after the founder’s daughter Angela Missoni resigned in 2021 due to management changes.
Grazioli joined the family brand in 2022 and is responsible for the men’s and women’s collections, as well as the lifestyle division. Prior to this, he worked at Burberry under Riccardo Tisci, first as design director of the women’s fashion show and later as a consultant. He previously worked at Givenchy under Tisci as head designer of women’s ready-to-wear.
Caliri has been with Missoni since 1998, moving on to lead its home and sports categories.
Tiziana Cardini of Eskume Runway writes that at Milan’s Spring/Summer 2025 show, Grazioli championed Missoni’s zigzag stripes with “unwavering focus”, making the collection “both powerful and strangely alluring”. The show was styled by Parisian stylist, creative consultant and Dazed fashion director Imruh Asha, who is known for his diverse use of colors.
“We are grateful to Filippo for his contribution and dedication. We look to the future with confidence to continue our growth path driven by innovation and quality, while staying true to our strong brand image.
“It has been a privilege to be part of Missoni. I am proud of the achievements and experiences I have shared with the whole team. I am now ready to take on new challenges and explore new territories,” Grazioli said.
