    Canada

    Canada will donate 200,000 doses of the vaccine, a government spokesperson said on September 12. The number of doses donated depends on the storage and management capabilities of the recipient country.

    France

    France will donate 100,000 doses of the vaccine based on “locally identified needs,” the French health ministry said in the questions and answers section of its website , which was last updated on Sept. 6.

    Germany

    On 26 August, a government spokesperson said Germany would donate 100,000 doses of the vaccine from its military stockpile to help curb the pandemic in the short term.

    Japan

    The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo has asked Japan to donate at least 2 million doses of the vaccine, senior officials at Africa’s top public health agency and Congolese officials said on August 27. The Japanese government had previously said Congo had requested doses but did not specify the number.

    Spain

    The Spanish Health Ministry said on August 27 that it would donate 500,000 doses of the vaccine, representing 20% ​​of its inventory. It also urged the European Commission to propose that all EU member states donate 20% of their respective vaccine stocks.

    USA

    The US State Department said on August 22 that it would donate 50,000 doses of the Bavarian Nordic vaccine to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and provide financial assistance for vaccination.

    The US Agency for International Development said on August 27 that it would donate 10,000 doses of the Mpox vaccine to Nigeria.

    European Union

    The EU signed a joint purchase contract with Bavaria Nordic for donated vaccines and committed to sharing 215,000 doses with affected African countries . It urges its members to coordinate donations rather than contributing individually.

    In August, the European Union Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Agency (HERA)It was agreed to purchase and donate 175,420 doses of the Bavarian vaccine to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) , while the Danish company would donate an additional 40,000 doses.
